Marchman Act Blog: Pill mill lawsuit: Doctors sue to block pain clinic crackdown
Two pain doctors with six offices in South and Central Florida have filed a federal lawsuit to block the state law that cracks down on pain clinics starting Oct. 1.
One of the doctors said Wednesday the law would unfairly punish law-abiding pain doctors, primarily by putting them at risk of arrest or discipline if a colleague breaks the rules.
The suit also brands the law unconstitutional because it bans pain clinics from selling more than a three-day supply of pills to customers paying with cash or credit, the favored means for addicts and drug dealers. Read Full Story...
