Officials optimistic new overdose reporting law could save lives

Officials want to eliminate fear of arrest or criminal prosecution when it comes to calling 9-1-1 for a drug or alcohol overdose.

Florida has come one step closer to doing just that by establishing the 911 Good Samaritan Act, a state law that went into effect Monday.
